The NFL will start week 4 out on the west coast as the Los Angeles Rams host the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners will have their hands full trying to stop the powerful Rams running game. The Rams scored on their first possession with very little effort, power runs as expected. San Francisco moved the ball well in the first quarter, just no points to show for the effort. Quarter one draws to a close with the Rams up 7- 0 and marching into 49er territory.
Roman Gabriel found Tommy McDonald down the side line for six points with 8:45 left in the first half. Rams are up on the Niners 14 to 0. Los Angeles had one opportunity to kick a field goal in the closing minutes of the half but it was missed. Halftime – Rams 14, 49ers 0.
LA picked up a field goal in the 3rd period but that was about it as both teams struggled to move the football. Quarter four would be no different as the Rams grabbed two more field goals to seal the shutout over their division rivals 23 to 0.
